Guardians of the Galaxy vol 2 header

All of Marvel Studios’ films are shrouded in mystery until trailers start to drop but we may have just learned the identity of the main villain in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 2‘! While a cast list has previously been released, a few actors haven’t been associated with specific roles and one of them is clearly the villain. While we know Pom Klementieff is joining the cast as Mantis, the mystery roles are attached to the following actors: Elizabeth Debicki, Chris Sullivan, Kurt Russell, Tommy Flanagan, and a rumored Sylvester Stallone.

It isn’t Rambo in space that seems to be the villain and if early rumors are correct that Tommy Flanagan is playing Tullk Ul-Zyn and Chris Sullivan is Taserface then it will be one of the other actors. A prior rumor has Elizabeth Debicki rumored to be playing Ayesha and a new one has surfaced saying the same thing so we might be on to something. Ayesha has gone by many names in the Marvel Universe such as Paragon, Kismet, and Her. She was basically created in the same manner as Adam Warlock and was often used as a major cosmic villain.

This could be another piece of the puzzle in introducing us to Adam Warlock as so far we’ve only seen hints via his connection to Thanos, the Infinity Stones, and a certain cocoon in the last film which was open in the end credits. While not a guarantee that we’ll be seeing Warlock here it wouldn’t be surprising to have Him show up to help stop Her.

Do you think that we’ll be seeing Ayesha as the villain in ‘Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2’ and an introduction to Adam Warlock? Share your thoughts below True Believers!
