A&E’s follow up to 1976’s ‘The Omen’ is coming up soon and we’ve got a new teaser trailer for ‘Damien‘ hot off the presses to share with you today! The series is scheduled to be an ongoing 10-episode 1-hour long drama being produced by Glen Mazzara (‘The Walking Dead’). The talent behind it alone might be enough of a lure to draw in viewers, but the teasers that we’re being shown seems that they’ve really got a potential hit on their hands. While the show was originally ordered by Lifetime in 2014 it was moved to A&E this year and will air in 2016.

The series will follow Bradley James as Damien Thorn who is a 30-year-old war photographer that is being forced to face the fact that he truly is the Antichrist. We’ll watch Barbara Hershey as Ann Rutledge who has helped keep him safe for his entire life enable him to embrace what he truly is. The time for his ascension to destroy the world is at hand and he isn’t necessarily a willing participant.

You can check out the teaser below!

While this doesn’t give me much of the conspiracy thriller vibe that Glen Mazzara had previously mentioned the show would be based upon, it does look like it will be set to draw in fans of the movie or horror in general. I do hope that the events on why he has forgotten who and what he actually is aren’t something that stays a secret for long after the show airs.

I’m not going to lie, this is the first alternate version of a reboot that I can honestly say I’m excited about.
