Hot on the heels of the phenomenal cross-over event from last week, both ‘Arrow‘ and ‘The Flash‘ will be airing their winter finales this week, and based on the trailers below, there is going to be some major shake-ups.

‘The Flash’ will be dealing with the return of the Weather Wizard, the Trickster, and Captain Cold this week, all of whom are hell-bent on his destruction in the wake of their defeats by Barry and his team. I know for me, I am extremely excited to see Mark Hamill returning as the Trickster, and when he is teamed up with the other two villains, I am sure there is going to be a lot of action and close calls on ‘The Flash.’

Over on ‘Arrow,’ it seems Damien Darhk will finally be getting the upper hand on Team Arrow, as the audience should finally learn who exactly ends up in the grave we saw in the season premiere. Based on the footage shown, they are hinting that it will be either Felicity, Diggle or Thea, but somehow I doubt it would be that simple, or that they would give away all of their options in the trailer for the episode.

Both episodes are sure to be action-packed, and leave us bitter indeed as we wait for the shows to return in a few months.

Here’s the synopsis for the Winter Finale  of ‘The Flash’ :

“When Mark Mardon AKA The Weather Wizard (guest star Liam McIntyre) returns to break Leonard Snart AKA Captain Cold (guest star Wentworth Miller) and James Jesse AKA The Trickster (guest star Mark Hamill) out of Iron Heights, Barry must stop these rogues from taking over Central City during Christmas. Meanwhile, Joe and Iris meet Wally West (Keiynan Lonsdale).”

And here’s the synopsis for the Winter Finale of ‘Arrow’ :

“After the city is attacked again, Oliver makes a bold move against HIVE. Malcolm checks in on Thea and leaves her with a warning. Things take a horrible turn when Damien Darhk (guest star Neal McDonough) retaliates in a brutal manner at Oliver’s mayoral holiday party.”
