Have you ever wondered what it would be like to go inside your favorite video game? Or what about if your favorite video game suddenly started to bleed out into the real world? Would you be able to deal with the two worlds interacting, and would you be able to level up and survive? While it’s highly unlikely that any of this will actually happen in real life, now you can see what it would be like with Image Comics new ongoing series ‘Axcend’!
‘Axcend’ is an all new original comic book series coming to us from the husband and wife creative team of Shane Davis (‘Superman: Earth One) and Michelle Delecki (‘JLA’, ‘Venom’). This new sci-fi thriller tells the story of a normal teenager named Eric who finds himself transported inside a new video game, only to find out he isn’t the only player in the game, and that games aren’t always as fun as they used to be when lives are on the line! The game world is breaking through into real life, and Eric is going to have to level up and learn some to hone his new game skills in order to stop those who abuse this new power, and save the world!
The first issue of ‘Axcend’ hit stores earlier this month on October 7th, but The ScienceFiction Team was lucky enough to be able to talk to the creative team of Shane and Michelle earlier this week at New York Comic Con 2015! They spill all the details about what you can expect from this book, and why it should definitely be on your comic shop pull list! Check out the full interview after the jump!
The first issue of ‘Axcend’ is in stores now, with more issues on the way soon from Image Comics!
