In anticipation of the premiere of the second season of ‘The Flash‘ (which just cannot get here soon enough), trailers and TV spots are beginning to pop up promoting the new season. In the latest international promo, we get an incredibly brief glimpse of Flash racing down a street, with his blur and lightning (which normally is gold) looking blue, which is either a new element to be introduced this season or a a color change solely for the marketing of the season. With the rumors that Barry was going to be learning a new power that would involve lightning this season, the blue color could be something real, though at this point I am definitely more leaning toward the idea that they changed the color to match the demands of the people creating the promo.

When Season 2 premieres, Barry and the team at Star Labs will definitely have a lot of loose ends to tie up, most notably the black hole/ singularity currently above Central City which we last saw Barry racing inside to stop, as well as the repercussions of the erasure of Eobard Thawne from the timeline, which could potentially rewrite everything we know about the characters on the show, including Barry Allen himself, and whether or not he will remain The Flash. Plus, with the news that Jay Garrick will be appearing as Barry’s new mentor for a few episodes, and the fact that Wally West will be joining the show this season, there is the potential to have 3 speedsters running around Central City, not to mention all the new heroes that will be introduced in anticipation for DC’s ‘Legends of Tomorrow,’ which is set to premiere in early 2016.

Make sure to tune in for when ‘The Flash’ returns to the CW on October 6th, where hopefully we can learn how Barry manages to stop the black-hole, and what new adventures await him and his team in Season 2.
