With all the hype for super-hero movies going on right now, some people tend to forget the excellent superhero TV that is coming out in the near future. Case in point, Marvel’s ‘Jessica Jones’ is set to launch in less than 2 months, and we have started seeing clips released from the show, giving us tantalizing hints about the character and the tone of the show. While they have yet to reveal Kristen Ridder’s face in any of these promos, they have done a good job of establishing her character as a bad-ass, and preparing us for what kind of show this is going to be.

In the latest clip, we see Jessica’s hand push quarters into a jukebox, smacking it with her palm when it is slow to work, and then pick her way across a room littered with defeated goons as she makes her way back toward the bar, where she picks up her shot and downs it, all to the tune of ‘Bad Reputation.’ While we never actually see any of the action in this clip (check it out below, embedded in the tweet), it is clear she has significant abilities/powers, and I cannot wait to see how she wields them. Plus, the clips are conveying a kind of playful, bad-ass tone, in some ways similar to the ‘Kill Bill’ films, which I think might be fun to watch in an episodic format.
