One thing is for sure about this season of ‘American Horror Story: Hotel’– There’s going to be lots of sex!  And all kinds.  Evan Peter’s Mr. March is shown to have an affinity for violent S&M (which may go a little past the safe word zone).  Finn Wittrock revealed that his character Tristan is sexually fluid, provided he gets what he wants out of it and while Lady Gaga’s character, The Countess will be locked in a love triangle with Tristan and her longtime lover Donovan, played by Matt Bomer, she also has a sexual past with Angela Bassett’s character, the famous actress Ramona Royale, who frequents the Hotel Cortez, where most of the action will take place this season.

In preparation for her ‘AHS’ turn, Lady Gaga threw a party at her Hollywood mansion for the cast, most of whom she was meeting for the first time.  Bassett recounts her first encounter with the outlandish pop star, who she recalled was dressed in a see-through gown.  Gaga, who has openly discussed her own bisexuality (and even sung about it in her songs, such as ‘So Happy I Could Die’ on her first album, ‘The Fame’), assured Bassett “I know about these things. I have been there.”

And not one for subtlety, Gaga presented Bassett with a surprise, since the party happened to be on the acclaimed actress’ birthday.

“Then she brought me out a birthday cake…and what she was doing to me on this cake…[It was] an X-rated cake!”

She didn’t elaborate, so you’ll have to use your imagination.  But probably not very much.  ‘AHS’ is on cable, but FX is able to get away with more than the regular networks– and has.  (See also: ‘Sons of Anarchy’)

Judging by the image of Bassett guiding a man-slave by a leash in the promo for the new season, her character’s sexual appetite will fall right in line with the rest of the staff and visitors of the Hotel Cortez.  And here I thought last season was supposed to focus on the Freaks!

Are you ready to get freaky with ‘American Horror Story: Hotel’?

‘AHS: Hotel’ arrives on October 7th on FX and also stars Sarah Paulson, Kathy Bates, Evan Peters, Wes Bentley, Matt Bomer, Chloë Sevigny, Denis O’Hare, Cheyenne Jackson, Max Greenfield, Naomi Campbell and Finn Wittrock.
