SPOILER ALERT: If you haven’t watched the first episode of ‘Scream Queens’, BEWARE this article discusses spoilers from the end of the episode!

Fox’s new show may be called ‘Scream Queens’ but everything doesn’t revolve around the likes of Emma Roberts, Ariana Grande, Skyler Samuels and Lea Michele (just to name a few).  Hunks like Diego Boneta, Lucien Laviscount and Glen Powell are also on hand to bare some skin and scream for their lives as a devil-masked slayer stalks the Greek set at Wallace University.

The most famous face among the male cast is that of Neil Patrick Harris’ #1 celebrity crush, pop star Nick Jonas.  Playing Boone on ‘Scream Queens’ marks the second straight (no pun intended) gay role for the former Disney pinup, following a much more mature turn as a closeted MMA fighter on the DirecTV series ‘Kingdom.’

Over the past two years, the one-time purity ring endorser has become one of the LGBT community’s staunches straight allies and Jonas takes that seriously, saying, “I’ve been so honored to play some really strong gay characters.  I think it’s all about being true to who you are. Whatever I can do for the community is just a blessing for me.”

As for his role on ‘Scream Queens’, Boone, who harbors a major crush on his frat brother Chad (Powell), Jonas remained predictably cryptic, but did offer a bit of insight.

After the end of the first episode, it appeared that Jonas’ role, as well as that of fellow pop star Ariana Grande were simply stunt castings for the premier, but in a surprise twist, Boone turned out to be alive and working with the killer!

“I can tell you that he is a part of the team of people involved in this master revenge plan.  His history with it goes very, very deep…

“Boone is very intense. He’s got a lot under the surface that you don’t see at first, and it all unravels as the show goes on.  I would say get ready to be surprised by a lot of different things. In his heart of hearts, that may be who he is, but we’ll have to find out as we watch.”

Either way, Jonas delivered the beef in the premier episode and it sounds as if there may be some bonus Jonas to look forward to in upcoming episodes, something that Nick has no problems with:

“There’s a scene or two that I’m shirtless in, but in ‘Kingdom’ I play a fighter too, so there is a lot. It’s a lot, it’s a lot of shirtlessness.”

Here’s a little bit of a recap from the first episode of ‘Scream Queens’:

And one last huge SPOILER… Boone isn’t the only one who will resurface later this season.  Chanel No. 2 (Grande) also comes back, even though she appeared to die in this episode.

Series co-creator Ryan Murphy teased:

“She comes back I believe in episode 6 and maybe more.  She’s recurring definitely. Everyone thinks she’s gone but she’s not gone… I wouldn’t say ghost. Nothing you think is happening is happening on the show. You think some people are dead — they’re not dead.”
