The next Empire Magazine has six new photos from ‘Batman V Superman: Dawn of Justice‘ and we’ve got them today to share with you! I do have to say though that the thing that stands out the most in them is how depressed everyone looks. There are a lot of somber expressions going on which seems to reinforce the idea of the darker DC Cinematic Universe that not everyone has been stoked about. For those that do want a darker movie though these might just make your day!
These are scans though so just to clarify there are more than likely HD versions of each of these shots coming out soon but the time being these aren’t the best quality.
First up is a shot of Superman and Batman in quite a wrecked area. Did the meet up in a junkyard or have they already been duking it out a bit?
It’s just another day at the Daily Planet offices where no one is really looking as if they are having a good time. Could this be where Clark is told that a single reporter going after Batman is a waste of ink?
Oh hey look, it’s a shot of Gal Gadot as a rather grumpy looking Diana Prince. I’m pretty sure we’re all more interested in Wonder Woman in action pics. I suppose they do have to present us with the human persona as well though.
Alfred, fetch me my Kryptonite!
Okay Batfleck, this is how you need to throw a punch. Is it just me or does his face and body language just seem rather off here?
This is quite possibly the worst facial expression they could have captured here. He looks as if he’s about to throw a temper tantrum an as someone who just smashed a city in ‘Man of Steel’ that might not be the best thing to do for public perception.
Overall even though they are scans this isn’t the best set of images to come out of the ‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ promotional material so far. I have to say that the last images of our two heroes and Luthor looked much better.
What are your thoughts on these almost comical facial expressions our heroes are wearing in the images above? Do you think the marketing team picked them on purpose? Share your thoughts below!
Fearing the actions of a god-like Super Hero left unchecked, Gotham City’s own formidable, forceful vigilante takes on Metropolis’s most revered, modern-day savior, while the world wrestles with what sort of hero it really needs. And with Batman and Superman at war with one another, a new threat quickly arises, putting mankind in greater danger than it’s ever known before.
‘Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice’ is slated to open in theaters on March 25, 2016.
