We all know that Ron Perlman has recently been pushing for ‘Hellboy 3‘ and it looks as if he had to apologize over his excitement.
It all started when on June 3rd he sent out message on social media calling for fans to push for a finale for the trilogy to be created. It seems that the fan’s message had been heard as Perlman ended up having to “call studio executives to apologize” about the incident. Personally, I think the studio execs should be apologizing to us for not giving the film a green light. This all came out during yesterday’s Amazon ‘Hand of God’ panel where someone brought up the subject of a ‘Hellboy 3’ movie. However, that isn’t all Perlman had to say on the film. He truly believes a finale should be made:
“If there’s a real honesty to fan culture relationships, we owe the world the finale of Hellboy. We set up the whole film. It’s a deal we made (with fans). I don’t want to do Hellboy IV or V. I want to finish the fucking trilogy!”
Ron, we want that trilogy too! Does this mean that there is no hope for the film to happen? Well Perlman does say that he’s had some talks with Guillermo del Toro but that nothing is concrete. That is sad news as I’m sure a few of us were hoping that this…

…meant that news of ‘Hellboy 3’ was going to unfold. I suppose it is still possible that in the next few days fans across the world will be able to rejoice about a finale being announced. Only time will tell. Do you think we’ll actually hear a surprise ‘Hellboy 3’ announcement at SDCC 2015? Would you happily be checking the movie out on the big screen? Share your thoughts below!
