Hello and welcome back to another all new edition of Toy News Tuesday! We’re the one weekly column right here on ScienceFiction.com where we seek out all of the awesome news you need to know about any announcements and cool happenings in the toy industry and put them all in one easy to find place for you! This week we’ve got more San Diego Comic Con Exclusive announcements, plus a ton of other cool stuff to look forward to so what are you waiting for?! Marvel Legends Doctor Strange Box Set Projecting To SDCC
Ever since it was announced last year that we were getting a live action ‘Doctor Strange‘ movie starring none other than Benedict Cumberbatch, fans have been up in arms with excitement as they eagerly await the arrival of the film. That’s why it comes as no surprise that the team at Hasbro has announced an all new ‘Doctor Strange’ themed Marvel legends box set for this years San Diego Comic Con Exclusive offering!
This 6″ scale figure box set will include five key doctor strange characters- Dormamu, Brother Voodoo, Magik, Hela, and or course the Doctor himself; albeit he will be a special ‘Astral Projection’ version. To top it all off, this box set is packed inside special ‘Doctor Strange’ themed packaging made to resemble Doctor Strange’s spell tome, the Book of Vishanti. it also includes a wearable replica of the Doctor’s magical amulet, the Eye of Agamatto.
This set is going to retail for $104.99 and will be exclusive to SDCC 2015, although it is set to be offered in limited quantities to people on HasbroToyShop.com after the convention.

Hot Toys Is Ready To Put A Spell On You
She’s one of the newest member’s of the Marvel Cinematic Univere’s ‘Avengers’, and now Hot Toys is bringing her directly to your 1:6th scale collection with their all new Scarlet Witch figure! While many people are divided on how ‘the twins’ were handled in this summer’s biggest blockbuster, it’s hard to argue that Scarlet Witch was a total badass! Now this awesome 1:6th scale figure is available to join your colleciton to prove it. Hot Toys Scarlet Witch features a lifelike sculpt based on actress Elizabeth Olsen’s appearance in the film, and it comes packaged with a ton of great accessories like alternate hands, hex-magic effects, a display stand, and the special pack in accessory ‘Ultron’s Heart’!

In Marvel’s Avengers: Age of Ultron, Wanda Maximoff a.k.a Scarlet Witch has undergone experiments by HYDRA to obtain superpowers in neuro-electric interfacing, telekinesis, mental manipulation and became a “secret weapon” of the evil organization. When HYDRA fell, she joined Ultron to get their revenge on Tony Stark, but eventually allied with the Avengers to help stop the artificial intelligence when they discovered Ultron’s true intentions to wipe out mankind.

Lego Building The Perfect Weapon
This month Lego is offering people the chance to add an exclusive Lego mini figure of Marvel’s Winter Soldier to their collection! It’s surprisingly easy for people to get, although a bit costly! All you have to do is spend $75 or more at Lego Store locations or on Lego.com and The Winter Soldier Lego mini figure will be automatically added to your purchase! It’s certianly an expensive mini figure at that rate, but fans of The Winter Soldier won’t wont to miss out on their chance to add him to their collection! This offer from Lego ends on June 30th, 2015 while supplies last.
Don’t Feed Kid Robot After Midnight
The team over at Kid Robot have announced an all new toyline! Rather than sticking to their traditional vinyl roots, they look to be expanding out into the plush market with their newest series of collectibles, ‘Phunny’s!
The first wave of these new 8″ scale plush collectibles are set to be themed around the 80’s cinema classic ‘Gremlins’! Characters announced so far include Gizmo, Mohawk, and Stripe! Phunny’s are expected to hit retailers this August with a suggested retail price of $16.99.

Oh Captains My Captains
As if last week’s Star Trek Whales collectible announcement wasn’t enough, Entertainment Earth has announced yet another Star Trek SDCC 2015 Exclusive from them and the team at Bif Bang Pow! This time around it’s a spceial set of ‘The Five Captains’ as Miniature Bobbleheads in their ‘Monitor Mates’ line. This set of five convention exclusive Captains include Captain Kirk, Captain Picard, Captain Sisko, Captain Janeway, and Captain Archer from across the various ‘Star Trek’ television series. Funko Teams With Bethesda

Funko Batgirl vinyl vixen
Funko and Vinyl Sugar have announced the newest figure in their DC Comics Vinyl Vixen’s line is going to be breaking the trend that this line has carried from it’s conception! The latest Vinyl Vixen figure is none other than Barbara Gordon as Batgirl! This marks the first time that a hero character rather than a villain has been released in the Vinyl Vixen’s line which currently consists of Catwoman, Poison Ivy, and Harley Quinn. Expect Batgirl to hit shelves later this summer!
