All good things must come to an end. If you’re a fan of ‘The Hunger Games,’ the end comes this fall when Lionsgate releases the final chapter of one of the hottest movie franchises out there right now. If you’re Donald Sutherland’s character in the films, it’s the heinous acts of oppression that you’ve carried out across the districts. Either way, it will all come to a head when Katniss Everdeen leads the rebellion straight to the Capitol in ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2.’ And now in preparation for the highly anticipated sequel to ‘The Hunger Games: Mockingjay – Part 1’, we have the first trailer for the main event that pits the Girl On Fire against President Snow and his tyrannical regime. Since the first movie debuted in 2012, ‘The Hunger Games’ series has exploded with popularity as the world followed Jennifer Lawrence’s Katniss into the heat of battle time and again. But before we say goodbye to Panem and its Districts, we’ll join the tributes as they rise up and wage war one more time against a common foe in what looks like a pretty epic finale for a pretty solid film series. Check out what’s in store this fall in the video below, followed by the official synopsis of the movie:

With the nation of Panem in a full scale war, Katniss confronts President Snow in the final showdown. Teamed with a group of her closest friends – including Gale, Finnick, and Peeta – Katniss goes off on a mission with the unit from District 13 as they risk their lives to liberate the citizens of Panem, and stage an assassination attempt on President Snow who has become increasingly obsessed with destroying her.  The mortal traps, enemies, and moral choices that await Katniss will challenge her more than any arena she faced in The Hunger Games.
