Universal and Legendary Pictures have released the first images of Orgrim from ‘Warcraft‘ and they are truly something to behold. These shots of a CGI’d Robert Kazinsky (‘Pacific Rim‘,’True Blood’) in character as Orgrim just look fantastic.
First let me share with you the previously seen shot of the character not from the film that was released as a teaser for comparison purposes where we learned that “Orgrim is Durotan’s right hand and a brave warrior destined to wield the Doomhammer: a weapon of orc legend” where Durotan is the lead protagonist of the orcs and played by Toby Kebbell.
Okay, with that in mind here is what the actual look will be like in the film:
The second image is clickable there to really get up and personal with Orgrim if you’ve got the resolution and monitor size to really check it out. As one of the favored Orcs in the ‘Warcraft’ universe, it should be no surprise to fans to see his images being thrown out front and center.
According to director Duncan Jones, “We were looking for someone who would be able to perform the gruffness, the humor, and the toughness of this character. We’ve gone beyond the point where these are just creatures in movies. We now have the technology and the ability to make new characters entirely.”
I think that these shots may be proving exactly his point. It’ll be the realistic look of the orcs that sell the film to fantasy fans who aren’t ‘World of Warcraft’ players or that loves the real time strategy games that initially built up the universe and at least the stills seem to have the visuals down.
So, what do you think of the first look at Orgrim from ‘Warcraft’? Are you excited to see the film as it plays out on screen? Share your thoughts below!
