It’s been a busy few days for trailers! First a new trailer for ‘Star Wars: The Force Awakens’ was released, then ‘Batman V. Superman: Dawn of Justice,’ and now the latest trailer for ‘Jurassic World’ joins the mix.
Unlike its predecessor which relied on nostalgia, this trailer is packed with dinosaurs, action, Chris Pratt, and more dinosaurs! No longer is this just an island where the dinosaurs are accidently set free, the dino of all GMO dinosaurs, known as the Indominus Rex, has escaped and now killing for sport.
You can check out the pandemonium below:
If the footage is anything to go by, director Colin Trevorrow seems to have brought back the awe and terror that was first introduced to movie goers with ‘Jurassic Park.’ ‘Jurassic World’ is set 22 years in the future and things have changed on Isla Nublar. It is now a thriving theme park where people can see living dinosaurs in action and scientists can work on creating new ones (because, you know, they still haven’t learned their lesson). Unfortunately, this new creation has a mind of its own.
The screenplay was co-written by Trevorrow with Derek Connolly and it will be interesting to see their take on the franchise. As it’s still over a month away before the film’s release, you bet we’ll be seeing at least another trailer and several clips to get a better idea. Until then, you still have time to get acquainted with the park and the dinosaur “attractions” by visiting the Jurassic World site.
‘Jurassic World’ stars Chris Pratt, Owen Grady, Bryce Dallas Howard, Irrfan Khan, Vincent D’Onofrio, Jake Johnson, Judy Greer, Omar Sy, Nick Robinson, Ty Simpkins and BD Wong and will roar into theaters on June 12.
