Just in time for the episode of its first installment, Capcom shows off a new trailer for their game ‘Resident Evil Revelations 2,’ this time focusing on giving out information as well as teasing the plot of the four episodes that will make up the game as a whole.
The plot follows two story lines: The first with Claire Redfield and Moira Burton as they fight their way out of a horrific prison island that they’ve been kidnapped to and seemingly being used as test subjects, and the second plot following Barry Burton as he tries to find his daughter Moira on the same prison island, guided by a mysterious little girl named Natalie Korda. This second plot will start a little bit after the events of Claire and Moira’s with possibly the two merging together.
Not much is shown as far as gameplay, instead focusing on giving brief descriptions of each episode, but gameplay videos have been released in the past.
Every episode, priced at $5.99 each, will be released in a weekly pattern starting on the 24th, and some time in March a full version should be released with all of the episodes packaged together, though there does not seem to be a set, reliable date just yet.
“Revelations 2” is a sequel to the 2012 3DS game “Resident Evil Revelations”, though this newest game will not be released for the 3DS, instead sticking to the PS3, PS4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, and PC (a PS Vita release is planned as well but Sony will be in charge of that release date). These initial copies will be digital only, with a physical retail copy planned to be released some time in the future.
Here is the release schedule for each episodes along with their titles:
Episode 1 “Penal Colony” – 2/24
Episode 2 “Contemplation” – 3/3
Episode 3 “Judgement” – 3/10
Episode 4 “Metamorphosis” – 3/17
