While their fan favorite ‘ Masters of the Universe Classics’ toyline is coming to a close after this year’s subscription ends, that doesn’t necessarily mean that Mattel has no plans to continue to give their fans the ‘ Masters of the Universe’ figures they want! This year at Toy Fair 2015, Mattel announced an all new ‘ Masters of the Universe’ based subscription service through their MattyCollector.com collectors club!
This spring, fans can sign up for the all new ‘ Masters of the Universe Classics Club 200X’! This new figure subscription service has been brought about to bring fans characters from the rebooted ‘ Masters of the Universe’ series that originally aired from 2002-2004. This subscription service will bring fans six characters that have never previously appeared in the ‘Masters of the Universe Classics’ toyline, based on their designs from the MOTU 200X series.
This new subscription service will give fans one new figure every month and will run from July 2015 through December 2015. While these six figures will likely also be made available individually on the MattyCollector.com site, subscribers to this line will also receive a subscription-exclusive ’Heads of Eternia’ accessory pack that will never be made available separately through MattyCollector.com or through any other means.
So far only three of the six characters we’ll be getting in this series have been announced, with the other three set to be revealed when subscription opens on February 23, 2015. Figures announced so far include MOTU 200x versions of Calix, Evil Seed, and Ceratus.
