With New York Toy Fair 2015 kicking into high gear this weekend, it isn’t at all surprising to see the team at Funko teasing fans with new product! They’re leaking images like crazy this weekend over their social media accounts, but where do we even begin?
Earlier today they gave fans a peek at an all new series of ReAction retro-styled figures, this time based around the ‘Star Trek’ original series! So far we’ve seen four figures from this wave, including Spock, Sulu, Uhura, and Dr. McCoy. While he isn’t seen here, it’s expected that Captain James Tiberius Kirk will also be included in this first wave of ‘Classic Star Trek’ ReAction figures.
For those of you who are a bit more into ‘the Wars’ than ‘the Trek’, Funko has revealed an all new Star Wars ‘Unmasked’ Darth Vader POP! vinyl figure! This new POP! is based on the Dark Lord of The Sith’s appearance from the end of ‘Return of The Jedi,’ where his helmet is removed to say one final farewell and gaze upon his distanced son with his own eyes for the first time in his life. It’s unknown at this time if Vader will include the removed piece of the helmet for an ‘unmasking’ effect or not, although it seems unlikely considering previous ‘unmasked’ POP! figures have not included a removed mask piece.
It is unknown at this time when these new ‘Classic Star Trek’ ReAction figures will be hitting the market, but the new Star Wars Unmasked Darth Vader POP! Vinyl is expected to be releasing this July!
