News has reached the internet that fan-favorite Nathan Fillion will be guest-starring on an upcoming episode of ‘The Big Bang Theory,” which will air on February 19th according to the current schedule. The story will basically be that Raj and Leonard will be out to dinner and spot someone who they think looks a lot like the famous actor. They will then spend a part of the episode trying to figure out whether or not they should ask the guy if he is Nathan Fillion, and would be willing to take a picture with them. Hilarity will ensue, and Fillion will join the ranks of celebrities who either tolerate the gang (Levar Burton, Bill Nye the Science Guy), hate the gang (Stan Lee, Carrie Fisher, Leonard Nimoy) or love the gang (Will Wheaton, James Earl Jones).

Will the Nathan Fillion episode compare to the sheer zany brilliance of James Earl Jones’ cameo, where he takes Sheldon out for a night around LA after declaring that he also loves ‘Star Wars,’ culminating in a ding-dong-ditch at Carrie Fisher’s house? We’ll have to wait and see, though from what we’ve heard about Fillion, he’s a very funny guy, a bit of a prankster, and likes to joke a lot, similar to his character on ‘Castle.’ Odds are he’ll have a lot of fun on ‘The Big Bang Theory,’ and leave us all laughing along the way.

Or, what in my opinion would be even better, the events of the episode could start a grudge between Fillion and the gang (similar to their relationship with Will Whedon in early seasons), culminating in a blow-up with Sheldon, who is a self-professed lover of the ‘Firefly’ series, but has often had trouble getting along with his celebrity icons (Stan Lee and Leonard Nemoy for instance).

Either way, I’m looking forward to the episode, which will air on February 19th. What are your thoughts on Fillion making an appearance on the show? Sound off below!
