Some properties were meant to go back home. Since the announcement that ‘Daredevil’ would be going back to Marvel, fans have been hoping to see a proper rendering featuring the man from Hell’s Kitchen. Well, from the trailer below, it looks like they got their wish.

While the announcement that the 13 episode series would air on Netflix may have puzzled a few, it is easy to see why this was a good move on Marvel’s part. The tone is quite different from Marvel’s other television property, ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ which is a good thing as the more darker and grittier look fits in so well here. Obviously a far departure from Ben Affleck’s film!

‘Daredevil’ is the first of several Netflix series featuring Marvel superheroes with ‘AKA Jessica Jones’ to be released later this year followed by ‘Luke Cage,’ ‘Iron Fist’ then a final series with them all (a la ‘The Avengers’) in ‘The Defender.’

So check out the first trailer of the first entry of Netflix’ Marvel universe below and let us know what you think!

Starring Charlie Cox (Matt Murdock), Deborah Ann Woll (Karen Page), Elden Henson (Foggy Nelson), Rosario Dawson (Claire Temple), Bob Gunton (Leland Owlsely aka The Owl), Vondie Curtis Hall (Ben Urich), Toby Leonard Moore (Wesley, Wilson Fisk’s right hand man), Ayelet Zurer (Vanessa Fisk), and Vincent D’Onofrio (Wilson Fisk), “Marvel’s Daredevil” follows the journey of Matt Murdock, who was blinded as a young boy but imbued with extraordinary senses, now fighting against injustice by day as a lawyer, and by night as the super hero Daredevil in modern day Hell’s Kitchen, New York City.

All 13 episodes of ‘Daredevil’ will premiere on Netflix beginning April 10.
