CBS All Access has revealed that David Ajala has joined the regular cast of ‘Star Trek: Discovery’ thanks to a new batch of photos from the mysterious upcoming third season. At the end of the second season, the USS Discovery officially went where “no one has gone before” 950 years into the future! One issue that viewers have had with the show from the beginning is how it doesn’t really line up with established ‘Trek’ history. It doesn’t look like that will be an issue any longer.
As for Ajala, he plays a new character named Cleveland Booker, or “Book” for short. He is described as:
“Smart and capable, [Book] has a natural charisma and devil-may-care attitude that tends to get him into trouble as often as it gets him out.”
At the SDCC panel, he was further described as “a character who’s going to break the rules just a little bit.”
Get additional looks at Book, as well as Sonequa Martin-Green’s Captain Michael Burnham in these new Season 3 photos:
Ajala previously starred as villain Manchester Black on Season 4 of ‘Supergirl’. He has also appeared on such genre programs as ‘Nightflyers’, ‘Falling Water’, ‘Black Mirror’ and ‘Doctor Who’.
It was not announced when Season 3 of ‘Star Trek: Discovery’ would air, but check back for updates.
Jax's earliest memory is of watching 'Batman,' followed shortly by a memory of playing Batman & Robin with a friend, which entailed running outside in just their underwear and towels as capes. When adults told them they couldn't run around outside in their underwear, both boys promptly whipped theirs off and ran around in just capes.
