To gear up for the return of the #1 show on cable television, AMC has started the promotional run for ‘The Walking Dead‘ Season 5b, slated to begin on February 8th. The poster, (seen below), features the map detailing the DC trip, with the words ‘The New World’s Gonna Need Rick Grimes’ written on it. In the background of the picture is Rick and his company walking down the road, with Rick looking back in surprise at the map lying across the road.
With the return of Morgan at the end of the first half of the season, which included Morgan finding the map featured here, there’s a good chance this is leading toward an eventual reunion between Morgan and Rick’s group, which could infuse the group with some fresh blood and hope following the devastating mid-season finale. Whatever the actual story details are, it cannot be denied that the poster is compelling, and is sure to excite the show’s fan-base who have been waiting to see what happens next in the Zombie-thriller.

“After the tragic events of the midseason finale — as well as losing the possibility of a cure in Washington, D.C. — Rick Grimes’ band of survivors find themselves on the road, surviving day-to-day and trying to hold on to their shredded humanity and dwindling hope. Stripped of security and without a direction for the future, some of the group near their breaking point, some find themselves hardened and cold and some just try to grasp on to what little they have left. Though they are still breathing, the line between Rick’s group and the dead is starting to blur. Could there be anything at this point that brings them back to life?”
