As you wish! While some networks will be airing ‘A Christmas Story’ on a loop, Sundance TV will be hosting a marathon of one of the greatest films of all time, ‘The Princess Bride’!

The marathon will begin at 1PM ET on Christmas Day, December 25 and end on 2AM ET on December 26. The best part? Hosting the marathon will be none other than the Dread Pirate Roberts (aka Westley) himself, Cary Elwes. According to the network’s site, “Throughout the day, Elwes will share his personal insights about the making of the timeless classic and provide a first-hand account of everything fans of the film have always wanted to know.”

During an interview with FoxLA to promote his book “As You Wish,” Elwes gave some of these first hand accounts fans should expect during the marathon:

In addition, fans will have the opportunity on Twitter to directly ask Elwes questions about the film and get answers in real time as well as take quizzes and play games inspired by the film on Sundance’s website. What a wonderful gift for fans of this cult classic film!

‘The Princess Bride’ is based on a book of the same name by William Goldman. Directed by Rob Reiner, the film takes on a movie within a movie style as a grandfather (Peter Falk) brings the book “The Princess Bride” to read to his sick grandson (Fred Savage).  There’s something for everyone in this film: romance, pirates, fantasy, comedy and some pretty good sword fighting between Dread Pirate Roberts and Inigo Montoya (Everyone with me: “Hello, my name is Inigo Montoya, you killed my father, prepare to die!”).

Between the ‘Doctor Who’ marathon on BBC America, the ‘Kaiju Christmas’ marathon on El Rey, and ‘The Princess Bride’
marathon on Sundance, genre fans will have a lot of Christmas cheer to last them the rest of the year!

So which marathon will you be watching tomorrow?
