For those wanting to go into ‘Terminator: Genisys‘ blindly you may want to avoid some of the details here though I feel everything that I’ll be presenting to you will be readily available when the official synopsis and first trailers drop. For those who have been dying to get another look of Arnold Schwarzenegger returning to the role of The Terminator as well as what some of the other stars of the film will look like, you’ll want to continue reading! From magazine covers to promotional shots, we’ve got a lot of new peeks of the cast to share with you today!

Aside from the pictures, we have some major plot points that aren’t related to sequels or what same are saying will ruin the franchise.

From what it sounds like, things are going to kick off in ‘Terminator Genisys’ with the film being set in 2029 during the height of the Future War. The plan? Once again Skynet is sending back a Terminator back in time to kill off a Connor. This time though it’s Sarah Connor who is in danger.

This isn’t the Sarah Connor we know from the past films as we’ll come to learn that a Terminator killed her parents when she was 9 years old and we’ll be seeing Schwarzenegger’s Terminator keeping her alive.

Accordingto producer David Ellison:

“Since she was 9 years old, she has been told everything that was supposed to happen. But Sarah fundamentally rejects that destiny. She says, ‘That’s not what I want to do.’ It’s her decision that drives the story in a very different direction.”

It’ll be interesting when she comes across Reese in this iteration of the film.

First up let’s take a look at the two EW covers below:

Of course set photos aren’t all Entertainment Weekly had to share as we’ve had a slew of production photos as well. Of course, Ellison also wanted to say that the T-800 was always set to return as far as he was concerned.

“In our minds there was never a version of this movie that we were making without Arnold Schwarzenegger.”

Arnold himself chimed in with:

“I knew eventually that another Terminator was going to get made. People always have to go through that painful experience of doing a sequel, or something like that, without me.”

I’m not saying all of his films have been great but you can’t argue that the ‘Predator’ and ‘Terminator’ sequels that he wasn’t in were pretty painful to watch. Of course, you could also make that point for ‘Terminator 3: Rise of the Machines ‘ which he was in but was also painful to watch.

So nothing overly spoiler filled about the photos but now you’ve got an idea of what the cast will be looking like for the film. Are you excited for the next installment into the ‘Terminator’ universe or are you done with Arnold being back?

‘Terminator: Genesis’ is scheduled to be released on July 1st, 2015.
