‘The Walking Dead’ returns on October 12th.  Throughout the summer, AMC has been releasing promotional material, including teasers and photos.  Now with the Season Five premiere just a few weeks away, the network has released a new “official” trailer which further utilizes the “Hunt or Be Hunted” tagline which was a storyline in the comic book, more commonly referred to as the “Cannibal” storyline.

Like most preview clips for ‘The Walking Dead,’ this one is… well, rather nonsensical and doesn’t really give away too much– just brief dialogue and visual clips.  Watch it for yourself below:

The most glaring clue in this clip is Sasha (Sonequa Martin-Green) stating “Three of us are gone…”  Which three are she referring to?  What happened to them?  Are they dead or simply somewhere else?

We see most of the main cast out on the road.  When last we left them, most of them were locked in a train car in Terminus, but it appears that Rick (Andrew Lincoln) is able to convince Garreth (Andrew J. West) and company to set them free in order to take Eugene (Josh McDermitt) to Washington D.C. because they believe that he may hold the key to ending the zombie apocalypse.

The clip also revisits Carol (Melissa McBride) and Tyreese (Chad L. Coleman), two characters who were unaccounted for at the end of the last season.  Unfortunately, due to the quick-cut nature of the clip, the characters are seen separately, so it’s possible that they get separated at some point.  Or not, since it’s hard to determine.  We do see Carol shouting “Where are they?!”  That could indicate that she and possibly he find Terminus and demand to know where Rick and the others are.

Hmmmm… what do you think?  What would you like to see out of Season Five of ‘The Walking Dead’?
