Earlier this week, we learned that before she graces our television screens with her own show later this year, Hayley Atwell’s Agent Peggy Carter will guest star in the second season premiere of ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ on ABC. The founding member of the organization that is currently in a rebuilding phase is set to appear in a 1940s flashback sequence in the first episode of the new season. But now thanks to some new pictures, we can confirm that she won’t be the only familiar face popping up on Director Phil Coulson’s turf.
When Marvel Studios’ first live action television series returns later this month, it will be packed with special guest stars, including a few that were introduced to the Marvel Cinematic Universe on the big screen. Besides Atwell, Neal McDonough and Kenneth Choi will reprise their roles from ‘Captain America: The First Avenger’ and bring Howling Commandos Jim Morita and Dum Dum Dugan to ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ alongside Agent Carter.
The fun won’t be relegated to the flashbacks though because a number of new and returning characters will be making appearances in the present day timeline as well including B.J. Britt as Agent Antoine Triplett, Adrian Pasdar as General Talbot, Lucy Lawless as Agent Isabelle Hartley, and Brian Patrick Wade as Crusher Creel. You can check out all these guest stars and more in the gallery below, followed by the synopsis of the episode titled ‘Shadows’:
“Shadows” – Coulson and his team are now wanted fugitives with limited resources–but that’s not stopping them from keeping the world safe from powerful and unseen threats everywhere. However, with new members they hardly know, will S.H.I.E.L.D. ever be trusted again? Watch “Marvel’s Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.,” on the ABC Television Network.
Guest starring are B.J. Britt as Agent Antoine Triplett, Nick Blood as Agent Lance Hunter, Adrian Pasdar as Brigadier General Glenn Talbot, Henry Simmons as Alphonso “Mack” Mackenzie, Patton Oswalt as Agent Billy Koenig, Lucy Lawless as Isabelle “Izzy” Hartley, Wilmer Calderon as Idaho, Reed Diamond as Daniel Whitehall, Hayley Atwell as Peggy Carter, Brian Patrick Wade as Carl Creel, Matthew Glave as Roger Browning, Simon Kassianides as Sunil Bakshi, George Stephanopoulos as self, Raquel Gardner as Carla Talbot, Ben Turner Nixon as Hydra Officer, Franco Vega as Military Leader, Rich Ceraulo as Soldier #1, and JB Tadena as Private Tilden.
Even though it hasn’t been confirmed whether or not the Howling Commandos will be joining ‘Agent Carter’ as regulars or otherwise, it’s exciting to see that they’ll be popping up on ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’. After all, a little Dum Dum Dugan in Phase Two is better than no Dum Dum Dugan at all.
