Catch up with the cast of ‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’ in the show’s first full-length trailer. It has not yet aired on U.S. TV but Greek fans got an early peak. (Considering the turmoil in Greece, I guess they deserve something of a treat.) The clip highlights the fan-favorite returning cast plus one newcomer. Here you’ll see Kathy Bates as Ethel Darling the Bearded Lady, Michael Chiklis as her ex-husband Wendell Darling the strongman, Evan Peters as their son Jimmy, Angela Bassett as Wendell’s new wife Desiree, the three-breasted woman, Sarah Paulson plays conjoined twins Bette and Dot Tatter and Jessica Lange plays the owner of the Freak Show, Elsa Mars, a German expat.
Not shown is John Carroll Lynche who plays the show’s villain Twisty the killer clown.
The show is set in 1952 and apparently there is a Cold War theme. The show is set in Jupiter, Florida and in the considering the closeness of Florida to Cuba (as in the Cuban Missile Crisis), that could play a part. None of that is referenced here though.
You can check out the trailer, set to Melanie Martinez’s moody song ‘Carousel’ below:
Jessica Lange, who has headlined the series every season is retiring after this one. Do you think they’ll crank this off so that she can go out with a bang? After ghosts, aliens and witches, will these freaks top them? What do you think? Will this be the best season ever?
