Recently, Sarah Paulson commented on the upcoming season of ‘American Horror Story’ subtitled ‘Freak Show’ by stating “Holy s**t!… How the hell am I going to pull this off?!”  With such a talented actress, what on earth could possibly intimidate her?  Well now we know, as she tweeted a concept photo revealing that she will be playing a double role as conjoined twins Bette and Dot.  (Colloquially referred to as a two-headed lady.)

Paulson had previously described the tone of this season as a mixture of the richness and darkness of previous season ‘Asylum‘ with the comedic overtones of ‘Coven‘.  “I just think it’s going to be a really beautiful mix of both,” the actress stated.

The 1932 flick ‘Freaks’ by Tod Browning featured the most famous conjoined twins in history, Daisy and Violet Hilton so there is a possibility that the new season of ‘AHS’ is sure to draw at least some inspiration from this landmark film.

‘American Horror Story: Freak Show’ will be set in Jupiter, Florida in 1950.  Jessica Lange plays the owner of one of the last ‘Freak Shows’ in the U.S. while Denis O’Hare plays her rival.  Michael Chiklis (new to the ‘AHS’ franchise) and Kathy Bates play the divorced parents of Evan Peters’ character.  ‘AHS’ alums Angela Bassett, Frances Conroy, Emma Roberts, Jamie Brewer and Gabourey Sidibe are also set to return in undisclosed roles. Also promised this upcoming season is the most terrifying clown ever.

What do you think?  Can Paulson pull off double duty playing two characters in one?
