Fox has finally started sharing some more details on ‘Gotham‘ and this latest set of featurettes which is called “The Legend Reborn” gives us all a roughly 21 minute of information! From new footage to cast and crew interviews, if you are wanting to find out more about the show there is plenty here for you. You’ll see creator Bruno Heller, director Danny Cannon, and of course Detective Gordon himself, Ben McKenzie, all weigh in on what we should expect from the series. Some might prefer another trailer for the series but I feel that this gives us more of a feel of what we should be looking to expect.

The first part of the preview is the Mythic Beginnings which “go behind the scenes of the thrilling GOTHAM pilot with key players both behind and in front of the camera, including creator Bruno Heller, director Danny Cannon and star Ben McKenzie.”

Next up is ‘A City on the Edge’ where we see that “following the murder of the Waynes, Gotham is in danger of falling into an abyss of pure chaotic anarchy.”

In ‘Behind the’Shadows,’ the featurette takes us directly on how New York city is transformed into Gotham.

Finally in ‘Heroes and Villains,’ we see the exploration of the “origin stories of classic villains such as Catwoman, The Penguin, The Riddler, Two-Face and The Joker.”

That has been quite a bit of new details on the show. I’m honestly hoping it isn’t as bad as early reviews of the pilot were and that it was still a work in progress. I think that the concept sounds as if it could be fun and hope it’ll pay off for the better on the 22nd when the series finally premieres.

Are you looking forward to checking out ‘Gotham’? Which was your favorite part of “The Legend Reborn” from above?

Synopsis:

Everyone knows the name Commissioner Gordon. He is one of the crime world’s greatest foes, a man whose reputation is synonymous with law and order. But what is known of Gordon’s story and his rise from rookie detective to Police Commissioner? What did it take to navigate the multiple layers of corruption that secretly ruled Gotham City, the spawning ground of the world’s most iconic villains? And what circumstances created them – the larger-than-life personas who would become Catwoman, The Penguin, The Riddler, Two-Face and The Joker. GOTHAM is an origin story of the great DC Comics super villains and vigilantes, revealing an entirely new chapter that has never been told. From executive producer/writer Bruno Heller (“The Mentalist,” “Rome”), GOTHAM follows one cop’s rise through a dangerously corrupt city teetering on the edge of evil and chronicles the birth of one of the most popular super heroes of our time.

‘Gotham’ will air Monday nights at 8 p.m. on the FOX network and premieres on September 22nd.
