Hot Toys Gamora Set to Guard Your Toy Collection

With the recent announcements of Star Lord, Rocket and Groot figures coming at us from Hot Toys, it’s not exactly a surprise to see this week’s announcement of a Hot Toys 1:6th scale Gamora heading our way! Jumping straight out of one of this summer’s biggest blockbusters, Marvel’s ’Guardians of the Galaxy’, Gamora is set to release sometime in the first half of 2015 and will come packaged with a sword, several pairs of alternate hands, and a display stand! The full release from Hot Toys is below:

“We’ll follow your lead.” Marvel Studios’ latest hit – Guardians of the Galaxy has soared the box office in its debut and taken the world by storm! To further expand this refreshing sci-fi superhero film’s popularity, Hot Toys is excited to present the 1/6th scale Collectible Figure of the deadly assassin, one of Thano’s adopted daughters, Gamora!

The movie-accurate Gamora collectible figure is specially crafted based on the image of Zoe Saldana as Gamora in the movie, featuring the newly developed head sculpt, highly detailed costume, weapons and accessories. ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ fans shouldn’t miss the chance to pre-order this Collectible Figure!

Hot Toys Rocket and Groot Charged with Possession

Even though this awesome two-pack was announced a few weeks back, now that ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ has seen major success at the box office, Hot Toys have decided to give their Groot and Rocket two-pack an exclusive new accessory! While it was most likely left out previously due to the item’s spoilery nature (and if you haven’t seen the film by now, skip to the next Toy News Tuesday item!), the two-pack will now include an exclusive ‘potted Groot’ accessory! Yes, that’s a tiny Groot seedling in a plant pot from the films first post-credits scene. This all new ’potted Groot’ is in addition to the two-pack’s other already exclusive accessories like the alternative ‘angry’ Groot head and a pair of partially clenched Groot hands! The full release from Hot Toys is below:

Marvel Studios’ Guardians of the Galaxy had been topping box-offices around the globe, the sci-fi blockbuster did not disappoint and broke the record of the highest opening in August! The Guardians of the Galaxy became a highly-popular topic among fans in all parts of the world! With a perfect mix of action, humor, and sci-fi elements, the movie captivated audience and won our hearts!

For fans who have already seen the film, there is a very memorable scene featuring a dancing Groot and now Hot Toys is extremely delighted to announce the 1/6th scale Potted Groot will also be included as another bonus accessory exclusively for everyone who pre-order the Guardians of the Galaxy: 1/6th scale Rocket & Groot Collectible Figures Set!

Kid Robot’s Rocket… Labbit?

Marvel’s latest summer blockbuster ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ really is just about everywhere right now! The influence of the film can even be seen in the vinyl collectibles market with Kid Robots’ latest release in their 7” Labbits designer line, the all new limited edition Rocket Raccoon vinyl Labbit! What really sets this Rocket Raccoon Labbit aside from the rest of that designer line, is the addition of a faux-fur raccoon tail! This sweet vinyl collectible is available from Kid Robot now, so don’t miss your chance to snag them while they are still on the market! The full release from Kid Robot is below:

“Ain’t no thing like me, except me!” Expand your lineup of surly superheroes with the #RocketRaccoon 7″ Labbit. Available now!

As second-in-command of the anti-hero clique Guardians of the Galaxy, Rocket Raccoon is the team’s marksman, tactician and proud owner of a bushy tail. A genetically engineered anthropomorphic raccoon, Rocket’s DNA has been spliced into Labbit for a truly trans-galactic toy experience. Selected specifically for his high butt-kickery cell count that meshes perfectly with Labbit’s own roguish nano-structure, Rocket Raccoon Labbit sports a real faux fur tail and doubles down on pure ‘tude.

Illogical New Funko Exclusive

Just when you thought to yourself “oh, SDCC is over so I can probably relax for a little while about all of these Funko exclusives”, the team at Funko strikes with yet another exclusive figure announcement! This one should be a little easier to obtain, as it’s just a Previews exclusive, which means it’ll be available to jut about any comic shop that is willing to order it. So who is this new exclusive figure in question? This time around Star Trek fans will rejoice with the announcement of the evil ‘Mirror Mirror’ Spock figure! Yes, they’re releasing the bearded mirror verse Spock as the latest Funko exclusive! This guy is set to release in September! Check out the full release from Funko below:

The universe is flipped upside down in the Mirror Mirror episode of Star Trek, featuring first officer Spock as a space pirate, now captured in time as a POP! Figure available in the August PREVIEWS catalog. Fans who remember Spock from the episode can pre-order the space pirate at their local comic book specialty shop. The figure is scheduled to release in September 2014.

In Mirror Mirror, the half human, half Vulcan Spock’s transformation into a brutal space pirate changes not only his attitude but his appearance too. The Mirror Mirror Spock POP! Figure (Item Code: AUG142693, SRP: $11.99, Page 544) stands at 3 ¾” tall wearing a blue space pirate type outfit and has facial hair, showing the rugged side of Spock no one on the “real” Enterprise recognizes. This is a unique collectible for fans of the classic Star Trek series to acquire as it’s one of the only times Spock wasn’t portrayed as a completely emotionless officer.

Limited Time Funko Exclusive

The crew at Funko really do enjoy making you work to collect all of the awesome figures they produce! The guys over at Loot Crate recently announced that the upcoming August Loot Crate will include an exclusive Funko POP! Vinyl figure that will not ever be sold anywhere else in any capacity! That’s right, the ONLY way to ever obtain this surely soon to be rare vinyl collectible will be to subscribe to Look Crate this month! Or you could wait, see if it’s even a figure you’d want, and scour the secondary market online until you find an affordable one. But do you really want to take that risk? The full release from Loot Crate is below:

“You knew we couldn’t just let the bad guys have ALL the fun. Items in August’s crate draw from HEROES in both geek & gamer lore, and thanks to a partnership with our friends at Funko, you’ll get a very special exclusive POP! collectible that you will not find ANYWHERE else. You hear that, Funko lovers? The exclusive POP! is sitting on my desk right now and I have to tell you… it’s pretty cool.”
