During their presentation at San Diego Comic-Con, Paramount Pictures surprised Hall H by bringing con virgins Christopher Nolan and Matthew McConaughey on stage to premiere a brand new trailer for their upcoming film ‘Interstellar.’ Many people who saw it described the footage as indescribable and noted that it featured an excellent use of IMAX technology. Now, the studio has released the latest trailer to the public so that everyone could get a look at all its glory.

Though some details carry over from the first trailer, we can really see how much Nolan was influenced by Stanley Kubrick in his new sci-fi mystery. We also get to see more of the problems on Earth that send McConaughey’s character into space alongside Anne Hathaway and their crew. But besides the sprawling imagery of the universe shown in this trailer that is sure to be breathtaking in IMAX 3D, my favorite part had to be Michael Caine’s reciting the words of Dylan Thomas in his narration at the end. You can check out the video below:

At the beginning of the year, I put this movie on my most anticipated of 2014 list because I was curious to see what Christopher Nolan had up his sleeve after ‘The Dark Knight Trilogy.’ Now that I’ve seen more of it, I feel like there’s some major award potential for the ‘Memento’ and ‘Inception’ filmmaker, his cast, and the various designers and artists who made this thing possible.

What do you think about the new trailer of ‘Interstellar’? Are you looking forward to Christopher Nolan’s follow-up to ‘The Dark Knight Rises’? Let us know in the comments.

‘Interstellar’ starring Matthew McConaughey, Jessica Chastain, Anne Hathaway, Casey Affleck, Matt Damon, Michael Caine, Ellen Burstyn, John Lithgow, and Topher Grace takes off on November 7, 2014.
