Well, ‘Guardians of the Galaxy‘ is nearly upon us! The latest Marvel film is both generating loads of excitement and a bit of trepidation, as this movie stars the least widely-known superheroes yet to be granted one of these potential franchises. Not to mention that the two biggest name movie stars in the movie are only providing voices. (More on that in a bit.)
As such, the hit studio has possibly released more promotional material for ‘Guardians’, than any other. And even though it debuts at midnight tonight… well, here are two more!
The first is a short clip from the film of a scene between Chris Pratts‘ Peter Quill/Star-Lord, from Earth and the alien assassin Gamora, played by Zoe Saldana. Gamora, the warrior woman that she is, finds fault with dancing, which sends Quill off on a tangent about one of his favorite Earth movies:
This seemed almost improvised! Even if not, I think it captures the pop culture-referencing, tongue-in-cheek tone of this movie.
And finally (?), we have a behind-the-scenes featurette showcasing Vin Diesel recording the voice of Groot in five different languages; certainly one of the only times the same actor provided the voice for the same character in that many– and probably more– territories. You may recall that both Diesel and Bradley Cooper, who voices Rocket (or Rocket Raccoon as he’s called in the comics), were among the last members added to the cast, after filming had already begun.
If you were on the fence, do these videos help make up your mind?
