Thanks to Comic-Con, we have the first trailer for George Miller’s ‘Mad Max: Fury Road‘ ready to share with you! This trailer appears to be delivering on exactly what Miller has wanted the movie to be, which is “a chase that starts as the movie begins and continues for 110 minutes.” That long of a car chase in a post-apocalyptic setting starring Mad Max is exactly how I want to spend nearly 2 hours in May of next year! As a huge fan of the original trilogy, even the first one, I can’t wait to see what direction Miller is taking the franchise now!
As the fourth film in the ‘Road Warrior’ series, we have a brand new actor taking on the part of Mad Max and Tom Hardy (‘Inception‘,’The Dark Knight Rises’) looks like he has it down. The film follows Hardy’s Max as well as Charlize Theron (‘Prometheus‘, ‘Snow White and the Huntsman‘) as Furiosa who is trying to get back to her childhood home. There is no mention yet if any of the past exploits of Mad Max will be referenced or factored into the film. I’m not sure what convinced Warner Bros. Pictures and Village Roadshow Pictures to take a gamble on returning to this post-apocalyptic wasteland but after watching the preview, I’m glad that they did!

After watching the first official trailer for ‘Mad Max: Fury Road,’ I have to ask how we’ve had to wait 30 years to see a sequel. For those of you who are interested in the series and haven’t seen it before, I do have to warn you the first one didn’t age well. It is extremely slow paced and many may not enjoy it without the patience to sit through it. However, the second and third will pay out in spades for fans of films that take place during the end of the world.
