We’re under a year away from the release of ‘Mad Max: Fury Road’ and not only are we getting some great shots here but after a long wait, we’re finally learning details on the film itself? How long of a wait? Well, while the film only went into production recently the series creator, George Miller, actually came up with the idea of ‘Fury Road’ in 2000. That was 15 years after the third film, ‘Beyond Thunderdome’, was released and nearly another 14 years before anything came of the idea.

Lets put that in perspective. Fans of the series have been waiting 30 years for another ‘Mad Max’ movie!

In ‘Mad Max: Fury Road,’ we’ll be seeing Tom Hardy as Max Rockatansky and Charlize Theron as Imperator Furiosa, the film’s villain. According to Miller, the movie itself “features few digital effects and even less dialogue,” so expect a lot of practical effects as well as a setting of desperation where survivors really are pitted against one another. Miller also stated that we’ll be pretty much seeing a two hour car chase as the story unfolds, “I wanted to tell a linear story–a chase that starts as the movie begins and continues for 110 minutes,” Miller said. “In this crucible of very intense action, the characters are revealed.”

A two hour car chase? I can totally get behind that if the story is set right. I’m assuming from the photos that we’re going to be seeing Imperator Furiosa chasing after Max Rockatansky for some reason.

Let’s take a look at the shots that were just released!
