With Netflix’s ‘Daredevil‘ series having started filming last month we haven’t been given too many details on the show. The latest New York Shoot has the first real video of Matt Murdock on screen so far! Only it won’t be Charlie Cox in the role here but a young boy from when Matt first loses his vision as a child.
As his father and the accident that changed him forever are such important factors for how Murdock developed into the hero that he becomes, it would be hard to imagine that it wouldn’t be covered in the 13-episode series. I’m glad to see that it looks as if we’ll be getting to see his origin on the small screen. What I’m not glad about is that we are waiting for an unannounced 2015 release date to see it and I’m impatiently wanting to see it now! Thankfully Marvel has a billion other shows and films up their sleeves to keep us busy these days.

I’m guessing what you really want to see is the actual footage itself. In this really short video you’ll see what could very well be the origin of ‘Daredevil’ as a young boy who we presume to be Matt Murdock as he yells “I can’t see!” With the photos above featuring an overturned toxic waste truck, this is most likely the filming of the accident that causes Matt to lose his sight, gain advanced senses which includes sonar, and sets him on the path to become the man without fear.
So that is the first look of the series which really doesn’t give us much at all past the origin shots. I’m personally dying to see the first action shots.
