The new ‘Terminator’ reboot is due in theaters on July 1, 2015 and the cast, which includes Emilia Clarke (‘Game of Thrones’, ‘Spike Island’) as Sarah Connor, Jason Clarke (‘Zero Dark Thirty’,’The Great Gatsby’) as John Connor, and Jai Courtney (‘I,Frankenstein‘,’Divergent’) as Kyle Reese, are hard at work filming, with Alan Taylor directing.
Exact details of the plot haven’t been revealed, but obviously time travel plays a huge role and the previous ‘Terminator’ films do have an impact on this one. The original Terminator, Arnold Schwarzenegger, returns as a reprogrammed cyborg, sent back to 1984 where he attempts to reset the events of the original movies. Obviously, the famed action hero has aged a bit since 1984, so it looks like the film’s creators are working with that by giving him battle scarred skin.
You can check out the first clear, close-up shots of the actor below. Clearly, these are in between takes (as I doubt the Terminator smokes cigars), but you get a good look at the classic black tee shirt and jeans costume, minus the jacket.
