With how many mutants were in ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past‘ it could easily be excused on how little some mutants were featured. One of them that stands out was Evan Peters’ (‘Kick-Ass’,’American Horror Story’) portrayal of Magneto’s son, Quicksilver. While we can all agree the look might not be what you would expect for Pietro Maximoff the effects and dialogue were a perfect fit.

We already know that ‘X-Men: Apocalypse‘ is the next film and now it looks as if Pietro is going to be featured pretty heavily in this next installment of the X-Men franchise.

Screenwriter Simon Kinberg is being pretty open on what we can expect for the future of the mutants. He has been talking about ‘Apocalypse’ and various aspects of the film. One of the key talking points though is that when it comes to how Magneto’s son is used he was also pretty informative!

“The plan was to use him in the next X-Men movie and have him expand his part and grow into the franchise. That was the thought. But now people have seen the movie and he’s one of the most beloved things in the film universally, there’s no question that he’s going to be a big part of the next movie… Hopefully we can do more some unique things with his powers, and go a little deeper with the character too.”

So there you have it. If you loved his performance in his introduction this is probably some great news for you! The second version of Quicksilver soon to be fully gracing the big screen as ‘The Avengers: Age of Ultron’ will show us the Marvel variation of the character. Sure we’ve briefly seen him at the end of ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier,’ but we haven’t really gotten to know how he’ll be when it comes to the persona quite yet.

Are you excited to see more of Pietro? Are you glad that there will be more of a focus on him? Do you think you’ll be enjoying the X-Men or Avengers variation of the character more? Share your thoughts below true believers!

X-Men: Apocalypse will open on May 27th, 2016.
