In just about three weeks, one of the most anticipated superhero movies in recent history hits theaters as Bryan Singer seeks to right some wrongs and bring some of our favorite mutants back into play with ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’. But while it’ll be great to see people like Kitty Pryde, Colossus, Iceman, and Rogue back in the mix, this story focuses on the First Class crew, like Jennifer Lawrence’s Mystique, who makes an appearance in the latest clip from the upcoming film.
There have been a number of interesting promotions for the next X-Men film, including fast food commercials, multiple magazine covers, and appearances on WWE programming, but the most recent bit of hype comes in the form of an old fashioned clip. Yahoo! Movies recently released a new snippet from the next chapter of 20th Century Fox’s Marvel mutant movies called “Collateral Damage” that features the shape-shifting assassin paying a visit to Bolivar Trask, the creator of the Sentinels played by ‘Game of Thrones’ star Peter Dinklage. Something tells me that young Raven Darkholme objects to Trask and his mutant-hunting technology, but you can see for yourself in the video below, followed by the synopsis for the film:
The ultimate X-Men ensemble fights a war for the survival of the species across two time periods in ‘X-Men Days of Future Past’. The beloved characters from the original ‘X-Men’ film trilogy join forces with their younger selves from ‘X-Men: First Class’, in an epic battle that must change the past – to save our future.
What do you think about the newest clip from ‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’? Do you have any ideas about why Mystique is crashing one of Bolivar Trask’s meetings? And what are your thoughts on that mutant-detecting device used by Trask? Share your thoughts in the comment section.
‘X-Men: Days of Future Past’ hits theaters on May 23, 2014.
