‘Arrow’ has taken a hiatus after the last cliffhanger episode, ‘Deathstroke’, in which Oliver handed over control of Queen Consolidated to business partner Isabel Rochev only for us to learn that she was in cahoots with Oliver’s number one nemesis Slade Wilson a.k.a. Deathstroke the Terminator and their bond may be deeper than simply business associates.
Tomorrow night’s episode is entitled ‘The Man Under The Hood’. Here is the official plot synopsis:
DEATHSTROKE HITS OLIVER AT HOME — Oliver (Stephen Amell), Canary (Caity Lotz), Diggle (David Ramsey) and Felicity (Emily Bett Rickards) return to the lair and find Slade (Manu Bennett) waiting for them. An epic battle breaks out and one member of Team Arrow is sent to the hospital. Thea (Willa Holland) hits her breaking point, but just as Oliver is about to reach her, Slade intervenes and Oliver is faced with a choice – his battle with Slade or his family. Meanwhile, Laurel (Katie Cassidy) struggles with a new secret. Jesse Warn directed the episode with story by Greg Berlanti & Geoff Johns and teleplay by Andrew Kreisberg & Keto Shimizu (#219).
Slade shows up in his full Deathstroke battle armor at the lair and ambushes the gang, who show up in street clothes, obviously indicating that they were not expecting this confrontation. The battle doesn’t go well, apparently, as the synopsis indicates that one of the team ends up in the hospital. (It looks like it’s probably Diggle.) In other big news, this episode of ‘Arrow’ will feature a guest appearance by Danielle Panabaker and Carlos Valdes cast members of the upcoming ‘The Flash’ spin-off. Panabaker portrays Caitlin Snow, who is described as “a highly intelligent bioengineering expert who lost her fiancé during an explosion at S.T.A.R. Labs.” Valdes plays Cisco Ramon, “a mechanical engineering genius and the youngest member of the team of scientists at S.T.A.R. Labs.” In DC Comics continuity, Cailtin Snow is the alter ego of super villain Killer Frost and Cisco Ramon is Vibe, who has interdimensional powers and was selected to join the government-controlled ‘Justice League of America’ as a counterpoint to The Flash.
So it sounds like ‘Arrow’ is zipping back with a bang! Are you ready for your next fix?
