As you may have noticed, ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’ has taken another brief hiatus. While the slot was still filled with some awesome Marvel goodies in the form of the documentary special ‘Marvel Studios: Assembling A Universe’, which included some awesome new looks at upcoming Phase Two films like ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’, ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’, ‘The Avengers: Age of Ultron’, and ‘Ant-Man’, Agent Coulson and company are temporarily on leave until April 1st. But when the show does finally come back, someone will be sporting some new threads.

Last month, we witnessed the transformation of Mike Peterson into Deathlok when Ian Quinn and the Clairvoyant healed the Centipede-enhanced former S.H.I.E.L.D. trainee with a cybernetic leg and a few other technological enhancements. Now, the character played by J. August Richards has some new clothes to go with his new name. Check out the first look at Deathlok from the episode titled ‘End of the Beginning’ which you can see below:

Well, it looks like I did and didn’t get my wish when it came to the look of the character. I had hoped for more cybernetic enhancements in addition to the leg like a faceplate or something. I guess the gauntlet on his left arm fulfills that request, but no faceplate as he appears to be healed of the burns he suffered in the midseason finale. However, I’m not quite sure that I’m into the chest protector. I’m glad that they kept the color palette from the source material and I understand that the Marvel Cinematic Universe is more toned down and based in reality, but it looks like the pads a catcher would wear while playing baseball. I’ll have to see the new gear in action before really judging it, but based on looks alone, it’s kind of a bummer.

A few other photos from the episode have surfaced as well featuring basically every big name S.H.I.E.L.D. agent we’ve seen guest star in the series so far besides Maria Hill and Nick Fury. You can see the pictures below:

Bill Paxton and B.J. Britt as Agents Garrett and Triplett Saffron Burrow, Titus Welliver, and Maximilliano Hernández as Victoria Hand, Agent Blake, and Jasper Sitwell
