The next big Marvel movie doesn’t hot theaters until April 4th, but the first eleven minutes of ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier‘ are now available for your viewing pleasure online. This is the first big sequence before the opening credits and helps set up the tone for the rest of the big action flick. We pick up once more with Cap/Steve Rogers (Chris Evans) feeling like a man out of time, seeking to get “caught up” with the modern world, including things such as the Moon Landing, the fall of the Berlin Wall and Nirvana.
We get to experience the first meeting between Steve and Sam Wilson (Anthony Mackie), the man who will go on to become the high-flying hero The Falcon as well as a reintroduction to Scarlett Johansson’s Black Widow as she and Cap are deployed along with a small unit of S.H.I.E.L.D. operatives, including Brock Rumlow (Frank Grillo) a character due to play a larger role moving forward, to rescue a ship captured by Georges Batroc (a.k.a. Batroc Ze Leaper in the comics, portrayed by Georges St. Pierre).
Before the actual confrontation with Batroc however, the clip climaxes with a quick montage of snippets from the rest of the movie including one shocker that was previously spoiled in another trailer.
