Nearly two weeks ago, we got our first look at Grant Gustin in his costume for the upcoming ‘Arrow’ spinoff on The CW, ‘The Flash’. The shot showed a side view of the titular hero’s head with Gustin’s Barry Allen underneath, but now we get to see how the whole suit looks as the network has recently released the first official shot of the Flash’s full costume.
Yesterday, The CW and Warner Bros. unleashed the first full body shot of their latest superhero to make the jump from the pages of DC Comics to our television screens. Whereas the Flash was all smiles in the first image released at the end of last month, Barry Allen sports a much more serious look in this picture showing off the costume designed by Oscar-winning costume Designer Colleen Atwood, who also created the look for Oliver Queen’s heroic alter ego in ‘Arrow’. Additionally, because production on the pilot is under way, a few pictures have hit the web depicting the fastest man alive in action and in costume. Mostly there are just some stills of Gustin jumping around, but there is also the first look at Candice Patton as Iris West, who has traditionally been Barry’s love interest in the comics. After bestowing the Arrow with a stylish mask back in December before heading back to Central City, we learned that the assistant police forensic investigator has quite the knack for superhero fashion.
