Rumors have been circulating lately about the Wachowskis making a return to their seminal sci-fi feature film, ‘The Matrix’, by creating a new trilogy for Warner Bros. However, before they can get the ball rolling on that, they have two other works marking their return to the genre after a short break from it to explore other projects such as ‘Speed Racer’ and ‘Cloud Atlas’. About a month ago, we got new details about the siblings’ upcoming Netflix show ‘Sense8’, but well before that show premieres, we’ll get to see ‘Jupiter Ascending’, the upcoming space opera starring Channing Tatum and Mila Kunis. Prior to the New Year, we got to see the first trailer for this highly anticipated movie, but now a new trailer has recently hit the web and offers some new footage.

This new trailer that doesn’t really answer anymore lingering questions from the first look at this world that Andy and Lana Wachowski have created, but rather it raises even more. You can check it out below, followed by the film’s synopsis:

From the streets of Chicago to the far-flung galaxies whirling through space, “Jupiter Ascending” tells the story of Jupiter Jones (Mila Kunis), who was born under a night sky, with signs predicting she was destined for great things. Now grown, Jupiter dreams of the stars but wakes up to the cold reality of a job cleaning other people’s houses and an endless run of bad breaks. Only when Caine (Channing Tatum), a genetically engineered ex-military hunter, arrives on Earth to track her down does Jupiter begin to glimpse the fate that has been waiting for her all along—her genetic signature marks her as next in line for an extraordinary inheritance that could alter the balance of the cosmos.

What do you think of this international trailer for ‘Jupiter Ascending’? Am I the only one that thinks that Channing Tatum has a bit too much eyeliner on? And is there anyone out there who thinks for a minute that Sean Bean will live through this whole ordeal? Share your thoughts and theories in the comment section.

‘Jupiter Ascending’ starring Mila Kunis, Channing Tatum, Sean Bean, Eddie Redmayne, Doona Bae, Tuppence Middleton, and James D’Arcy hits theaters on July 25, 2014.
