Normally when I’m tasked with writing about scenes like this from Marvel movies that have been released, I’d start by saying *SPOILER ALERT*. However thanks to the promotional campaign for ‘Ant-Man’ earlier this summer, the House of Ideas already spilled the beans on Anthony Mackie’s cameo as the Falcon in a TV spot for Peyton Reed’s Phase Two finale. Because of that (and since most of you have seen the movie already), I don’t really feel too bad about coming right out and saying that you can now watch the entire battle between Sam Wilson and Scott Lang right here.
Though ‘Ant-Man’ largely stands on its own from the rest of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, there were a few moments at the beginning, middle, and end that tie the film into other movies from Marvel Studios. In fact, it pretty much picks up on where ‘Avengers: Age of Ultron’ left off as Dr. Hank Pym sends Lang on a mission to the New Avengers HQ to steal a piece of tech to help in their fight against Darren Cross. But it seems that S.H.I.E.L.D. has upped security a bit since Pym’s days there as Falcon is on patrol duty when Scott arrives. The result is a funny and playful scene that shows off Ant-Man’s grasp on his newly acquired abilities. You can check it out below courtesy of JoBlo in anticipation for the film’s Chinese release:
If you enjoyed this exchange (as well as the post-credits scene), then you’re in luck because Falcon and Ant-Man will be seen together again in ‘Captain America: Civil War’. According to early reports, the two will be fighting alongside Steve Rogers and other Avengers as he clashes with Tony Stark and his supporters. But we’ll lean more about that in the coming months.
