After a month of waiting in suspense, we are finally going to find out what happened to Skye after the last episode of ‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.’. This Tuesday, the first television show set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe returns with an all-new episode that finds Agent Phil Coulson and his team in a race against time to save the life of their friend after she had been shot at close range by wealthy scientist and Clairvoyant operative Ian Quinn at the end of the episode titled ‘TRACKS’. But before the latest chapter hits the airwaves, we have the opening scene of this week’s episode for your viewing pleasure.
Previously, we got our first look at this episode in the form of a few pictures and a clip featuring new additions to the cast Bill Paxton and B.J. Britt. Now, we get caught up in the emotional opening moments of the episode called ‘Tahiti’ where these new agents make their debuts alongside Coulson, May, Ward, and the whole gang. You can check out the first four minutes of the episode below thanks to IGN, followed by the synopsis of the episode:
“TAHITI” – Coulson goes on the attack to save Skye–enlisting the aid of Ward’s former S.O. John Garrett (Bill Paxton)–and uncovers shocking truths about his own life and S.H.I.E.L.D.
As I had speculated in my last S.H.I.E.L.D. piece, it appears that we might get to see the other procedures that kept Coulson alive after the events of ‘The Avengers’ since they may utilize the same methods to keep Skye alive. But now the question remains as to which method would work for the young hacker. I don’t know about you, but I’m pretty stoked to find out. For all we know, she’ll be part machine like Deathlok by the end of the episode.
How do you think Coulson and the gang will come to Skye’s aid and save her? Do you think that Director Fury will cooperate and assist his right hand man in saving one of his beloved teammates? Share your thoughts and theories in the comment section.
‘Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D’. starring Brett Dalton, Ming-Na Wen, Iain De Caestecker, Elizabeth Henstridge, Chloe Bennet, and Clark Gregg airs on Tuesdays at 8:00pm on ABC.
