With ‘Captain America: The Winter Soldier’ just a few weeks from release, fans have already begun to wonder when we’ll start seeing more sneak peaks at what we can expect to see in Marvel’s next big summer blockbuster movie — ‘The Guardians of the Galaxy’. Fortunately, the wait appears to be over! At least to some extent, as the folks at Hasbro and Lego revealed a whole slew of new toy products for the film in anticipation of New York Toy Fair 2014 this week!

First up we’ve got a look at the six-inch scaled Marvel Legends figures for the film from Hasbro! The preview image released by Hasbro (via Yahoo) gives us a full look at the main team members featured in the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’, emulating the previously released teaser image of the live cast. These highly detailed and well articulated figures look to give fans a much clearer image of what we can expect of this space-fairing band of misfits in their upcoming live action feature! This figure lineup includes (from left to right) Gamora, Star Lord, Rocket Raccoon, Drax and Groot! These figures show off close up detailed images of the characters in their full costumes, although notably each team member appears to wear their own differential uniforms rather than the standard blue team uniforms worn in the comics. Still, these look pretty fantastic!

If six-inch scale action figure aren’t really your thing, maybe you’re more of a Lego fan? If that’s the case, we’ve got you covered there too with this look at the first set of Lego’s based on the ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ film (via Screenshot)! This first set, ’The Milano Spaceship Rescue’, gives fans their first look at the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s version of Ronan The Accuser! Although he’s in Lego form, it isn’t an incredibly detailed first look. What it does tell us, is that for his live-action debut Ronan has shed his usual green garbs in exchange for a darker black cloak. He does still have his weapon of choice though, the mighty Kree hammer!

Another interesting thing about these Lego sets is that they show Starlord with what looks like a variation of his classic helmet from the comics! This is the first hint of the helmet appearing in the film, which many fans had been wondering about since it’s a trademark of the character and had yet to pop up in any footage or promotional materials. That said, after most of last year’s ‘Iron Man 3’ Lego sets had nothing to do with anything in the movie, Marvel Lego sets have proven to hardly be a reliable source for hints of what to expect in the films, so take anything seen here with a grain of salt.

There are currently no release dates for any of the toys previewed above. Marvel’s ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ is set to hit theaters on August 1st, 2014! Stay tuned to ScienceFiction.com for more updates from New York Toy Fair 2014!
