In a movie filled with triumphant moments, one that elicited one of the most audible reactions in ‘Avengers: Endgame’ was when a figure in blue armor landed and their helmet retracted to reveal the face of Pepper Potts (Gwyneth Paltrow), Tony Stark’s “Girl Friday” from the start of the Marvel Cinematic Universe, finally suited up to kick ass on her own.  Fans of the comics know that Potts has the occasional alter ego of Rescue, and have been hoping that she would adopt the guise in the films, but so far, the closest she has come was when she became super strong after exposure to Extremis in ‘Iron Man 3’.

Not only did Rescue make her film debut in ‘Endgame’, but she’s getting toys!  Funko has released the image of a Rescue Pop!, and a small Rescue action figure comes in a two-pack with Iron Man.  Now comes word that a bigger, more detailed Rescue action figure will be added to the Marvel Legends collection.

Freelance Hasbro artist Jerry Wilson has shared the artwork he created for Rescue’s packaging via his Instagram:

Presumably, the design is based on the armor as it appeared in ‘Endgame’.  The big final battle sequence flew by so quickly that it was nearly impossible to really examine any person in detail, so this image offers a much closer image, complete with tiny details, like the “Stark Industries” logo on her gauntlets.  And those wings look pretty impressive.  Considering their use in the film, the toy will probably have some sort of extra feature, like snap on extenders.

And as cool as it would be to see Rescue continue fighting the good fight in Tony Stark’s memory, she won’t because she doesn’t want to leave Morgan an orphan.  (That, plus Gwyneth Paltrow has flat out said she’s done with the MCU, outside of a potential small cameo that would only require one day of work, in the future.)

But it was still awesome to see Pepper go out with a bang, by kicking butt side-by-side with Tony as well as the other women of the MCU during one of the movies best “F— YEAH!” moments.  Now you can commemorate Pepper’s all-too-brief superhero career in plastic.

Will you be adding the Rescue Marvel Legends figure to your collection?
