In the latest TV spot for ‘The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug‘, we are seeing some great new short but sweet dialogue by Benedict Cumberbatch’s (‘Star Trek Into Darkness‘) voicing of the dragon Smaug.

While there are a couple of new scenes, the best moment in the sixth commercial for the film is the very scene where Smaug utters “There’s nowhere to hide” to those who are trying to sneak through his lair. Peter Jackson‘s (‘The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey‘) team has really locked down the visual effects. I didn’t think they could top what they did with ‘Lord of the Rings’ but they clearly have upped the ante with the latest film and seeing it on the big screen is going to be one of my movie highlights of the year!

Check out the spot below and let me know if you agree:

‘The Hobbit: The Desolation of Smaug’ continues the adventure of the title character Bilbo Baggins as he journeys with the Wizard Gandalf and thirteen Dwarves, led by Thorin Oakenshield, on an epic quest to reclaim the Lonely Mountain and the lost Dwarf Kingdom of Erebor.

Having survived the beginning of their unexpected journey, the Company continues East, encountering along the way the skin-changer Beorn and a swarm of giant Spiders in the treacherous forest of Mirkwood. After escaping capture by the dangerous Wood-elves, the Dwarves journey to Lake-town, and finally to the Lonely Mountain itself, where they must face the greatest danger of all – a creature more terrifying than any other; one which will test not only the depth of their courage but the limits of their friendship and the wisdom of the journey itself – the Dragon Smaug.

Are you looking forward to seeing where everyone’s favorite (in this trilogy at least) Hobbit is attempting to hide with his dwarven companions? At this point, all I’m really looking forward to is Smaug himself in all of his scaly glory!

‘The Hobbit: The Desolation Of Smaug’ is directed by Peter Jackson and will open in theaters on December 11, 2013.
