One almost has to wonder at this point as to what a Michael Bay movie would be without giant explosions? This latest set photo that was released focuses on that thought specifically as there are no Transformers and none of the cast present in the picture. What we do see, though, is what looks to be the end shot of an explosion, some devastation, and debris flying through the air. I’m curious if any of that debris or the ground itself is supposed to suggest sand as well with the latest teaser poster showing the ‘Transformers 4’ logo covered in it. That logo is at the bottom of the post if you wanted to reference it or haven’t seen it yet.

Explosions, lens flair, Michael Bay – this could be a scene taken out of any of the films he’s done with what little we’re shown in it!

Commentary on Michael Bay’s style aside, one can’t argue that it fits well for giant robots beating each other up in order to save / take over the planet (depending which side we’re talking about).

Say what you will about the plots, at the very least each of these ‘Transformers’ films have been visually pleasing. I also have to say they’ve mostly been getting better with each film, at least plot wise once the Transformers themselves became the focus instead of the humans. Hopefully the fact that they’ve shelved Shia Labeouf for this installment means that they plan to continue the increased focus on the robots. After all, they are who we really want to watch!

With no word on a plot yet we’ve had a few set videos released online so far. Also a great first look at the Autobots!

Do you think the ‘Age of Extinction‘ is being pointed at the humans or the transformers? Are you open to a forth installment of ‘Transformers’ by Michael Bay or has this man been making a killing by destroying your childhood memories? Let us hear your thoughts below!

Directed by Michael Bay, ‘Transformers 4′ hits theaters June 27th, 2014. The film stars Mark Wahlberg, Nicola Peltz, Jack Reynor, Stanley Tucci, Kelsey Grammer, Sophia Myles, Bingbing Li and T.J. Miller.
