The Syfy original series ‘Lost Girl‘ won’t be back on US airwaves until early 2014, but fans may be able to take some comfort in this early teaser trailer, touting the supernatural series eventual return.  Fans may be on pins and needles as the series’ third season ended with several cliffhangers and early tweets seem to hint that things may not be the happiest when the show does return.  As series producer Emily Andras put it, “So.  Many.  Death.  Scenes.”  Uh oh!  That doesn’t sound good!

The series follows the exploits of a Fae (fairy) detective, Bo and her human sidekick Kenzi.  At the end of the last season, Bo may have discovered that she was the daughter of the powerful Wanderer.  Kenzi was on a mission to possibly become a Fae herself.  Werewolf Dyson and his partner Valkyrie Tamsin had been saved from near death by “the black smoke.”  Meanwhile, it appears a war is brewing between the two factions of The Fae… a war that may spill over into the world of humans as well!

But what of these “death scenes?”  Were Dyson and Tamsin really rescued?  Will Kenzi’s mission backfire?  Or will this upcoming war prove to be quite deadly with many casualties?

Unfortunately, we’ll have to wait and see.  The show will return to Canadian TV on the network Showcase on November 10th.  Unfortunately, US audiences will have to wait just a bit longer, as Syfy has said the show won’t be returning until 2014.  In the meantime, we’ll have to be content with this brief video clip.

And yes, that is a cover of the 60s song “The Wanderer” which may be a hint as to the direction of the new season.
