Fans from all over the world gathered in Germany over the weekend for Star War Celebration Europe, a gathering of Comic-Con proportions completely dedicated to all things ‘Star Wars’. Not only did fans have the opportunity to show off their love of the fandom through cosplay and other projects, but cast and crew from the films and other integral people to the brand were also on hand for special panels and announcements. While this year’s festivities have come to an end, it’s time to get ready for the next one.

At the end of this year’s event, the organizers announced when and where the next Celebration would take place. And due to the recent acquisition of Lucasfilm by Disney, this should come as a surprise to absolutely no one. StarWars.com confirms that during the weekend of April 16-19, 2015, the Anaheim Convention Center will host the next Star Wars Celebration. The con comes at a great time too since the Mouse House should be prepping the release of J.J. Abrams’ ‘Star Wars: Episode VII’ by then as well.

If you plan on attending Star Wars Celebration Anaheim, then you might want to start making arrangements now. According to StarWarsCelebration.com, tickets will go on sale on August 7, 2013 at 7:00am PST. Because of the proximity to the release of the first film of the new trilogy, you probably don’t want to miss this con, so have your credit cards ready when the clock strikes 7:00 next week.

While we’re on the subject of ‘Star Wars’, it appears that Lucasfilm has registered a number of URLs referring to ‘Attack Squadron’. Usually, when a company does this, they plan on using it for something down the line. There’s no official word on if this could be for a new ‘Star Wars’ film, video game, TV series, or whatever, but Fusible notes that Electronic Arts, the video game company that has the exclusive game rights to ‘Star Wars’, currently owns those domain names, which suggests that whatever the project is, EA is involved somehow.
